International authoritative experts will make reports at the 4th quality assurance forum

The 4th quality assurance forum organized by ANQA will be held оn April 16-17. “Education vs specialist: professional education today and tomorrow” will be the headline of this year’s forum.

The forum, as in previous years, will have special guests from abroad.  The best international practice on modern issues and its localization opportunities will present Don F. Westerheijden and  Jennifer Ann Moon.

Don F. Westerheijden is a senior research associate at the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) of the University of Twente (Netherlands), currently, he is supporting the committee introducing and monitoring performance contract funding in Dutch higher education.

Jenny Moon is an Associate Professor at Bournemouth University (Centre for Excellence in Media Practice – in research on learning); and works also part-time as an independent consultant, running workshops and projects. J. Moon is an author of 8 books and many publications on professional education.

Both specialists work in the higher education sphere more than 20 years.

Don F. Westerheijden will have two reports. First, he will talk about “Transparency in higher education: The urgency of a new perspective on higher education governance։ Establishment of a Performance-based contract system”. 

Then he will present a report entitled “The role of the Short-Cycles higher education in the knowledge-based economy”.

Jennifer Ann Moon will talk about “Academic program reforms: Design of the Academic programs and modules as a context for the description of level descriptors, learning outcomes and assessment criteria and their relationships”.

After the reports of the international experts, discussions will take place with the participants of the forum.
